A number of improvements have been made to the Ozone approach trail by “Friends of PACC.” Thirteen people helped out with this effort over a period of 3 months. This helped to stabilize the trail, which was experiencing significant degradation along the outside edge. “Friends of PACC” received some in-kind donations of pressure-treated wood that were put to good use.
Those improvements include repairing the bridge, which was in bad shape before:
And now the bridge will support ankles instead of breaking them:
Volunteers also installed 40 steps (a combination of rock and wooden steps) on the bottom section of the east access trail to Ozone.
