Join the Portland Area Climbers Coalition for an Adopt a Crag at Lewis and Clark State Park. No experience or tools necessary! Volunteers should bring gloves, water and snacks, as well as climbing equipment if they want to climb after working.
Volunteers will improve the trail slope, cut back vegetation from the trail, and possibly create retaining walls and/or steps depending on volunteer availability.
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep the following in mind:
- Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
- Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
- Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
Attendees will need to sign a waiver on the day.
